Kickin' Blues

 

This album is a great pure gut wrenching blues album. Excellent. Some of the artists featured on this album are some of Chicago's finest blues artists. J.C. Smith travels all over the world performing the blues festivals and concerts. The J.C. Smith Band consists of: J.C. Smith-guitar, vocals; Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Julien Vaught who performed the saxophones and horn arrangements; Steve Dore on piano; Jake Sampson on bass; Niklas Nordstrom-guitar; Tim Richard-drums. Featured Chicago blues artists are: Willie "Big Eyes" Smith-drums/harmonica. He is currently touring and was on the road with Muddy Waters for over 20 years; First round Grammy Nominee Joanna Connor absolutely smokes and is considered one of the best slide guitar players in the world; Lenny Spatafore-one of the greatest Chicagoland drummers; Mike Morrison, one of the most sought after bass players in Chicago and has played with the best of them;  Robert "Wildman" Pasenko a hardest playing drummer; The J.C. Smith Band consists of: J.C. Smith-guitar, vocals; Rock & Roll Hall of Famer is Julien Vaught who performed the saxophones and horn arrangements; Steve Dore on piano; Jake Sampson on bass; Niklas Nordstrom-guitar; Tim Richard-drums. Most of the tracks were recorded right here in San Jose and some were recorded in Chicago. The album was engineered and mixed by Gradie O'Neal.
